Amygdalin is a kind of cyanogenic glycoside, extracted from bitter almond seeds. Amygdalin is white powder, slightly soluble in warm water(25 ºC). The molecular formula of is C20H27NO11, and its CAS number is 29883-15-6.
 Amygdalin may release cyanide through enzymatic hydrolysis in human body, this may lead to cyanide poisoning.

 Appropriate dosage of amygdalin still has may health benefits. Amygdalin may relieve cough, provide antibacterial effect, reduce inflammation, boost immunity, promote liver health, offer anti-aging property, or regulate blood sugar.
