Dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid, has a series of effects on cell survival, cell signal transduction and gene expression. For example, it can inhibit the induction of nitric oxide synthase (IC50=5 nM);  By stimulating Na+-K+ pump, the cationic transport of aorta smooth muscle cells could be enhanced.  Decreased the activity of cyclin A and Cdk2.  Inhibit G1/S transition of bone cells;  Inhibit the phosphorylation of Rb protein.  Induced apoptosis of human thymocytes.  

Dexamethasone (10 mM), Art. No. 40323ES03, is dissolved in DMSO storage solution, concentration of 10 mM.  Dexamethasone, Item no. 40323ES25, 40323ES60, both supplied in powder form, should be prepared into DMSO storage solution of 10 mM or higher concentration, and frozen at -20℃ after separate packaging.   In general, 500-1000nm dexamethasone can induce apoptosis when treated at 37℃ for 6 h.
